Nursery Admissions

At Thomas Jones School we aim to ensure that children, irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith or socio-economic background have access to the benefits of high quality, child-centered nursery education. We believe that the Early Years Foundation Stage should be a time of play, and that through this vehicle and interacting with one’s peers that the child embraces the excitement of learning, the rewards of achievement, and acquires a myriad of life skills. The Early Years environment is intricately planned and encourages children’s development of skills, attitudes and understanding that will assist each and every individual to reach their potential and become robust, active members of the school community.

Thomas Jones School has a full time nursery class for pupils to attend the year prior to starting Reception. The Nursery offers 25 full time places, with the day beginning at 9.00am and ending at 3.15pm. Children are admitted to the Nursery in the September following their third birthday and in accordance with our Nursery Admissions Policy.
