School Direct at Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones has successfully trained student teachers for many years using the School Direct route. In essence, this is school-based teacher training where students learn alongside outstanding teachers and other professionals, as well as attending university for various training days throughout the year.

How to apply

For postgraduate teacher training programmes in England, apply through The Department for Education’s ‘Find postgraduate teacher training’ service.

You will need to apply to Saint John Southworth Enterprise and Research Alliance Primary which will give trainee teachers a PGCE with QTS at the end of the 1-year course. The accredited body for the course is Roehampton University (course code B382) or Xavier Teach South East London Hub (course code F177).
