The Patron Scheme
How the Scheme Works
In recent years, thanks to a group of loyal parents, a fundraising initiative was implemented called The Thomas Jones Patron Scheme. This involves parents, parents of ex-pupils and some local businesses becoming ‘Patrons’ of Thomas Jones. Each patron has made a donation of £500 or more (one-off, or annually) to help fund school activity.
Patrons receive termly newsletter about how monies have been spent and are invited to some whole school events such as the Year 6 Leaver's Play - always a wonderful performance. Annually, we invite patrons to a Garden Tea Party in the school grounds to say a proper thank you.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all patrons for their generosity and ongoing trust and support. These donations enable equity, enrichment and high standards of learning to continue for all pupils at Thomas Jones.
If joining The Patron Scheme is something that interests you (or is in your gift to do so), then please contact Abi Kantoch, Senior Leader, via patron@thomasjones.co.uk.
Local Sponsors
Following on from last year's donation, local business Lords Building Merchant continue to support Thomas Jones with monetary donations as as well as with small scale projects in the grounds which they undertake, providing labour for free and at times, materials too.
Lords is a local, friendly, family-led business located on Malton Road, a stones throw from Thomas Jones. The showroom is no average builders merchant. The two level building showcases all that the team at Lords can support you with for your home, whether large or small scale. It is a delight. We highly recommend a visit.
May we take this opportunity to thank Peter and the entire team at Lords for their generous donations, time and ongoing support. We are incredibly grateful.
