Along The Amazon
Last week Year 5 performed a visual delight to families dressed as birds, butterflies, plants and even a poison dart frog, all as part of their class assembly.
‘The Rainforest Grew All Around’ was based on a picture book of the same name. Exploring the interconnectedness of the rainforest ecosystem through poetry and facts about the organisms that call The Amazon Rainforest home, the performance linked superbly to the current geography based topic ‘Along the Amazon’.
