Children’s Mental Health Week

The theme for Children’s Mental Health Week this year is ‘Let’s Connect.’ Years 3 and 4 participated in a joint activity which encouraged them to mix, socialise and get to know each other a little better.

They recognised that whilst they are all different, they also shared many similarities and had much in common.
These small connections have led to budding new friendships and a recognition that a smile and a friendly greeting to one another are essential ingredients for our wellbeing.
Across the school in reception class, children were partnered up and throughout the day shared any positives they noticed about their friend. They also spent time celebrating each other by sharing individual affirmations such as ‘I am amazing’ ‘I am kind’ ‘I am strong.’
