Phonics Open Afternoon and Chinese New Year in Reception Class

Last Thursday, every metre of Ms Polly Holmes' classroom had been transformed into a phonics emporium, with families immersing themselves in various games that develop pupils’ phonological awareness, all of which are transferrable to the home environment.

The after school open afternoon was warmly received by families and further emphasises the extremely positive relationships we have with the community.

Earlier this week, Ms Polly invited a parent into school to assist with learning about the Chinese New Year. Activities linked to this cultural celebration were a further success for the industrious Reception class cohort.
