Quadratic Equations, Algebra and Tenacity
Earlier this week, pupils took part in the UK’s annual Mathematics Challenge. It is no exaggeration to say that they excelled, with one child gaining an impressive 100%.
They were determined and tenacious and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and chance to practice what they have learned. I gather from Melissa Kiley, our ‘Maths Mastery’ expert that they were particularly adept when tackling some of the more abstract questions. We hope that the problem solving skills they are acquiring will continue to develop and perhaps lead to degrees and careers in the field of statistics or aeronautical engineering or meteorology.
