London Symphony Orchestra
Year One were visited by students from the Royal College of Music to complete a workshop about one of their upcoming operas.
The children were taught about the different woodwind, string, and brass instruments, listening to their different sounds and hearing short performances. They then had the opportunity to learn different compositions from the opera and perform these with actions. All the children were absolutely enthralled, with many showing a particular fascination with the saxophone. It was a truly magical morning that sparked a real love of music.
