Brilliant Evocation
Year 4's class assembly was a brilliant evocation of quality. Arising from the study of the Romans, from start to finish this performance exuded joie de vivre.
It was impressively multi-layered, with a nod here and there to some of the key moments of the occupation of Britain 2,000 years ago. Julius Cesar, Boudica, the Iceni, Celtic warriors – all made an appearance, attired in exquisite costumes and demonstrating disarming boldness. Huge thanks to the many families who joined us in a packed to capacity hall. Poppy Black and Weit Sittachi deserve much praise for their direction and inventive flair.
